Healthmark Launches Fully-Accredited Malta Academy For Nurses And Careers

Nurses and carers in Malta can now further their studies and seek higher qualifications through Healthmark Academy, a dedicated and accredited institution launched by Healthmark, Malta’s leading private healthcare provider

Among the courses on offer are those in food handling, nutrition and hygiene, Maltese language for healthcare, dementia care, infection control practices, wound care, and anatomy and physiology for health and social care.

The academy offers international diplomas affiliated with Pearson (UK), the world’s leading learning company, and IELTS English Certification with BELS English Language School (Malta), one of the most highly accredited schools in Malta.

Healthmark, which specializes in private home care to help people live safely and longer in the comfort of their homes, is part of a wider joint venture that manages healthcare catering and the provision of nursing and carer services in most of Malta’s public and private hospitals and care homes.

“As the demands on the healthcare system continue to grow, both locally and internationally, Healthmark Academy will ensure that healthcare workers in Malta are empowered and fully trained in the latest evidence-based practices. Having gone through our training programmes they will be set to provide consistent quality and safe service across the board. The academy will also give carers and nurses better job security and career mobility,” said Healthmark CEO Charlotte Sant Portanier.

“Our academic programs combine theory and hands-on practice in dedicated simulation laboratories to develop occupational knowledge, skills, and competencies. We are committed to making our courses as open and accessible as possible to those with the aptitude and ability to take advantage of them. We are especially proud of our inclusive culture of equality, diversity, and respect,” she added.

Last year, Healthmark launched a training center in Dubai to help up-skill foreign healthcare workers planning a career in Europe and to help facilitate clinical and cultural gaps.

While the Dubai center prepares qualified staff for immediate deployment in Malta, Healthmark Academy’s remit is to develop new care working skills. The focus is on the systematic development of current care workers and nursing staff’s skill sets with a focus on empowerment, safety, and quality practice

Healthmark Academy offers full flexibility to students from any part of the world and at any stage of their life. We ensure that they can follow the courses suitable for their future even if they are working full-time.

Healthmark is a member of the Kore Group and currently employs more than 4,500 workers from all over the world to fulfill the ever-growing demands of healthcare.
